Administration is a joke. Despicable higher ups. Barbar and Mitchell Mark are incompetent stool pidgeons working for an inept mega machine that is American Universities. In Europe and other 1st world countries the government pays students to attend. Here they garnish you for classes you dropped but they claim" you didnt ."The judges and court are all in on it too. Scamerica !!!!

They sent me student loan checks, though they knew I was deployed. Of course, those checks were magically gone when I returned. I have contacted them multiple times over years where they keep confirming I never cashed the checks but they are not being removed or returned. Meanwhile I am paying interest on $3k in loans that I never had. If you aren’t able to go in person, good luck getting help.

I'm about to be a graduate of NOVA and I must say that they handled the restrictions of corona virus very well. They are very understanding of students and have put many measures in place to make sure students don't have to visit anything in person if they are not comfortable with that which I really appreciate. Highly recommend going for NOVA instead of starting at a four year.

This is a horrible campus. Administrative staff are extremely rude and don't care about student education. They are extremely unorganized. It is a waste of an entire day. They do not have a clue as to what they are doing because the staff is focused on going home they hardly help you because they just want to finish the list. People there just make you wait for hours together and nothing seems to happen other than students and parents going home frustrated. Don't waste your time here you are better off getting things done else where.

I wanted to leave a review to explain a few things.
To all the people complaining that their class was to hard, this is a school for ADULTS. This isnt highschool where the teachers will hold your hand and guide you through the class. You are expected to put forth the effort and LEARN SOMETHING. If the teacher just GAVE you the information, there would be no need for you to commit that to memory. So grow up and quit crying about how unfair life is.

Secondly i have actually been to a couple other community colleges around the country and this by FAR was the best. My teachers were amazing and had no problems helping me with anything as long as i reached out to them first and showed that i wanted the information. Best thing you could do for yourself is to go to a community college and then transfer to a 4 year. NOVA also has REALLY good transfer programs between the public universities in Virginia and Elsewhere.

Ms. Corrine House has been nothing short of the worst advisor I could've expected at NOVA. I have had to chase her down EVERY semester for help when I'm having inevitable, unavoidable problems with registration and financial aid, which are notoriously awful. I wouldn't get email responses from her for sometimes weeks at a time, causing me to reach out to people who were not tied to my issue at all. I have had several kind people in unrelated departments assist me over the phone from the Annandale Campus, but I shouldn't have to distract them from something unrelated to their job because my counselor can't do HER job and respond to my emails. I have lost my place in classes and stressed at the start of a new semester, being dropped from classes with NO prior notice. I called the student registrar for assistance during this time and was told that they DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO HELP ME. AND THEN HUNG UP. A lot of the administration just doesn't care. It's very frustrating and has made my successful more difficult than it should be. They should be FACILITATING my success, not making it difficult and causing me more stress.

Mitch Markon is a joke. So is the Barbara lady and the whole system here. Thievery at its finest covered up as pointless academia. Americas education system is trash! Nothing but debt and pretense!
